How It Works

After you place your order, our design team will create your personalized layout and email you a proof within 2 business days. The proof is a close representation of what your final engraved stone or plaque will look like. Finished engraving has softer contrast than your digital proof.

Your proof email will include a link to a webpage where you can review your design. From the proof page, you can approve your design or request changes. You can add any comments or instructions you'd like. You can also upload additional photos or images if needed.

If you request changes, we'll update your design and send you a new proof for final approval. You can make as many changes as you want free of charge.

All design proofs are sent to the email address provided at checkout. Please ensure your email address is correct and check your spam or junk folder if you haven't received your proof.

If our emails are rejected or returned as undeliverable due to an invalid or inaccessible email address, the standard proof approval process may be waived, and your order may proceed to engraving without approval after reasonable attempts to contact you.

We understand that sometimes the photo you have is the only one available. We can work with images of varying quality and will do our best to enhance your image for the best possible engraving.

Once you approve your proof, we typically engrave your order within 1–2 business days, and it will ship shortly after. During especially busy periods or when we have a heavy production queue, engraving may take an additional 1–2 business days.

From the day you order to delivery, the entire process generally takes 7–12 days. Because we don't engrave until you approve your design, proof revisions or delays in approval will extend this timeframe.

Need it sooner? Expedited shipping options are available at checkout and can reduce the time your order spends in transit after engraving is complete.

Every photo is individually prepared by our design team to create the best possible laser engraving:

• Correct lighting and enhance details where possible.
• Keep, remove, or replace the background to create the best contrast.
• Optimize text placement, line breaks, and fonts for a balanced, readable design.
• Adjust the layout for your chosen material and plaque size, since images engrave differently on granite, marble, and wood.

Every design is created specifically for your photo, wording, plaque size, and material. Our designers individually edit each image, make decisions about backgrounds and photo corrections, and optimize the text, fonts, and layout to create the best possible engraving.

Because creating a realistic proof requires significant hands-on design work, proofs are created after an order is placed.

There is no risk in ordering: If we're unable to create a proof you're happy with, we'll provide a full refund. Nothing is engraved until you approve your design.

A clear, high-quality photo will produce the best engraving.

• Send the original, full-size image. Small or low-resolution photos can become blurry when enlarged.
• Check the focus. Zoom in before uploading. Photos that look clear on a phone may be blurry at full size.
• Avoid glare and shadows. If photographing a printed photo, use even lighting and check for reflections. A high-quality scan is even better.
• Send the original, unedited photo. Let our designers handle background removal and other adjustments while preserving as much detail as possible.
• Not sure which photo to use? Choose one of your favorites. If you don't like how it appears on the proof, you can upload a new image.

By uploading an image, you confirm that you own or have permission to use and reproduce it.
