You'll have the opportunity to review your photo, wording, and layout and request changes through our online proofing system. Nothing is engraved until you've approved your design.

All design proofs are sent to the email address provided at checkout. Please ensure your email address is correct and check your spam or junk folder if you haven't received your proof.

If our emails are rejected or returned as undeliverable due to an invalid or inaccessible email address, the standard proof approval process may be waived, and your order may proceed to engraving without approval after reasonable attempts to contact you.

Your digital proof is a representation of the engraving design, but the finished plaque will have a softer contrast than what appears on your screen.

Digital screens display bright whites and deep blacks. On natural black granite, the dark areas are the polished stone, while the lighter areas are created by laser engraving, which exposes the light gray stone beneath.

Because the engraving is not printed in white, the finished photo will not appear as bright as the digital proof. This is a natural characteristic of laser engraving on granite.

Our plaques are crafted from genuine black granite, a natural stone that may contain mineral inclusions, small spots, or subtle variations in appearance. These naturally occurring markings are characteristics of the stone, not manufacturing defects.

During the engraving process, we do our best to position the design so that natural inclusions are incorporated into the engraved text or photo, making them less noticeable. However, depending on their size and location, this isn't always possible, and some inclusions may remain visible on the finished plaque.

We carefully select black granite for its durability and ability to capture detailed photo engravings. Natural inclusions do not affect the stone's strength or suitability for outdoor display.

Because every piece of granite is unique, these natural variations are expected and are not considered defects eligible for replacement.

Yes! Our solid black granite plaques are designed for both indoor and outdoor display. Granite is a naturally durable stone that withstands normal outdoor weather conditions, making it an excellent choice for gardens, gravesites, and memorial spaces.

As part of our engraving process, we apply a clear tile sealer to help protect the stone from moisture and staining. Under normal conditions, you shouldn't need to reseal your plaque for several years. However, plaques exposed to frequent water, such as those placed near sprinklers or other water sources, may benefit from more frequent resealing.

We also offer several display options, including garden stakes, headstone easels, tabletop stands, and wall-mounting brackets, so you can choose the placement that works best for your memorial.

Once you approve your proof, we'll begin engraving and prepare your plaque for shipment. Most orders arrive approximately 7–12 days after the order is placed, depending on proof approval and shipping transit times.

Yes! You'll have the opportunity to request changes to your photo, wording, or layout when you receive your digital proof.

We want you to feel confident in your design before engraving begins. However, once you've approved your proof and production has started, changes or cancellations are no longer possible.
